Have you played in the main event saturday games in the Pokerdome in Sydney RT? What do ya think?
no. I played a $10 tournament in a pub last night as preparation for the WSOP. It was pretty well run. Maybe I will go to Star City some time.

Well I recommend the Pokerdome in Newtown if you're looking for a good tournament. $50-$100 buy ins, 5k starting stack, 30 min levels, round 100 players. Saturday around 12 I think. Haven't been for a while but they're good. I find the standard of play in the pub games is pretty shocking here, like home really. The pokerdome's a bit better but still pretty soft. Good luck and enjoy the WSOP!

Hey RT excellent read so far.

I got bored of sydney very quickly, what about it do you like so much?
Well I've only been here 2 weeks and just moved into a house 2 days ago so it's hard to say I like it so much already. But there's a lot to do here.

If you were offered work placement coding what langauge would you choose and why?
I'd code in LISP if I was allowed, I found it really easy to get to grips with and it is surprisingly powerful. I don't think there are many openings for LISP programmers though.

Bar the math's do you think anything you learned on your CS course has helped you in poker?
I had a course in my final year on AI for Puzzles and Games, it didn't really touch on poker. But any kind of problem solving course is helpful.

Have you ever considered a crash course in psycology? do you think it would be of benifit to your game?
Yes, in fact I did a 3 week summer course when I was younger. I still remember it and I think it helps. Also I have read one or two books on the subject.

You seem like a very well balanced happpy guy, do you think your overall outlook on life has an affect on your game?
Sometimes in a cardroom I meet people who seem overstressed/depressed/neurotic and it has an obvious effect on their game. Especially people who take the game really seriously, every bad beat is like a personal insult. I like to think I'm not like that.

Do you think egotistical walls hinder a person's ability to become a better player? If so are the posters on boards who suffer from this? (no need to name names unless you want to :D )
    Yes and yes.

I think it's dutch boyd who suffers badly with bi-polar, do you think this is a handicap or an edge?
I have to think this is a handicap. Any time you can't control your emotions you aren't going to be a good poker player.

What's your opinion on "betting for information"
If you bet and your opponent calls you now have a bit more information about his hand, normally you shouldn't bet unless you have another good reason for it (e.g. you probably have the best hand).

do you follow a strict diet? do you regularly use "Super Foods"? do you think a healthy diet is important to a profesional poker player?
No, I don't eat very well actually though I am trying to improve. I tend to think mens sana in corpore sano, if you are generally healthy you will perform better, feel better, have better concentration.

besides maybe books or music have you any collections of anything? old stamps? model trains?
    No.

If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
I'd pick something happy and upbeat, maybe Pet Sounds.
