    hello everybody !

I would like to know if anybody could advice a reception/venue place next to Killaloe or otherwise in Clare or Shannon area.
I'm French and I'm going to get married in Ireland (with an Irish men!!!) and my worry is to find a place not too far from Shannon airport but still in a nice area that looks like foreign people would exept from Ireland ! (green, landscape, old stones....)

    thanks for your help:D :D:p

    Hey -

I came across this place on my travels!
    http://www.coolbawnquay.com/weddings.htm

It is on Lough Derg, so it can't be too far from Killaloe.

    This looks nice too.

This hotel is just north of Athlone, it might be too far up?

I have the info for the first two if you would like me to send them to you?

In Killaloe, there are 2 hotels - the Lakeside and Kincora Hall.
Been to weddings at both - but can't remember the Lakeside too well.
My cousin had hers at Kincora Hall, she had a small wedding with about 30/40 guests and it was very intimate and couldn't fault it at all. Then we all moved into the big hall for the evening reception
    Would highly recommend it

thank you very much to both of you.;)

I heard too of the kincora hall, and it seems to be nice, I'll ask them for documentation.

Olaola, thanks for your proposition, I think that I'll ask them directly for docs but might keep in touch with you if problem:p

    thanks again, enjoy you week-end....

Burke's Armada Hotel in Spanish Point. www.burkesarmadahotel.com
40 miles from the airport, fabulous views, great food, and very friendly, professional service.

The Lakeside is in Ballina, not Killaloe.
    A whole other county

Fridays and Saturdays will prob be booked out for the next 2 years in the Lakeside. It is prob the most popular wedding venue in that area. Week days are a good shot and there is a good discount.

Lough Derg is a very big lake.
Killaloe is on the South West side of the lake. Coolbawn is on the opposite, North West side.
