    Guys,

I thinking of getting a Garmin 670 sat nav. I know you can get updates to the POI that will show the known fixed speed cameras. What I want to know is can you get an update to this system that will ID the Garda at the side of the road with the gun?

Also what is the likelihood of being caught by the garda's using the sat nav in this way. Does the garda at the side of road with the gun get any idication that he's being detected?

And Yes I know this is somewhat illegal.

    Just wondering?

    Pat

As there are very few fixed speed cameras in Ireland, I can't see the point TBH.

There will be in the next 18 months. Would be nice to know about detecting the garda hand held speed guns

No there isn't. It's a sat nav system, not a radar detector.

It doesnt detect mobile speed units and has no way of doing so at all.
