too often people block up vents, this product will do the trick to allow
varying amount of air through rather than block up the whole vent

click on the jpeg to have a look, i've installed them in my gaff and they work fine, you can get "ships vents" in brass but very expensive

It's from www.scs.ie and the publication doesn't seem to be there anymore.

ok i am new to all this message board stuff but does your reference material need to be electronic. the bible for all self builds should be the homebond house building manual. tells you anything about everything. show you basic details for door, windows, roof, floors walls etc. its like a more complex lego manual.
Got me out of some situations easy knowing how to fix something when you can see a picture of it i think.

The Home Building Manual is worth its weight in gold. I think the government should make an order that every builder should sit a theory test after reading the manual

i know you have registered builders etc etc and quality systems but a theory test or even licensing system is what is needed. i think they have something like that in the states where you need a contractos license but maybe this is a topic for another thread
