Ever since I was a kid, i've felt like i'm psychic. I have wierd preminitions and seem to know a lot of stuff before it happens, aswell as knowing what people are thinking sometimes. Can you guys suggest ways in which I could develop this skill, so as to help people.

Maybe you could focus on your other senses, like your sense of sight, and read the charter.

I would definitely recommend joining a development group which can provide a safe and somewhat structured way to allow yourself to develop and nurture and control what it is you already have.

I don't know anything about psychic abilities, I just know I have a gift. For example, I remember watching No Disco YEARS ago, about 8 years ago, and I saw a song by an pretty unknown band called Snow Patrol, and for whatever reason something about them really struck me, and I just knew they were gonna be big (it was only a brief clip and the song didn't even appeal to me). Fast forward a few years and they're massive. I know it's a bit of a lame example but stuff like that happens to me all the time.

Dude, our powers aren't that exact. Have you ever seen the movie 'The Gift', well the psychics powers in that are pretty damn good, but she's still a dirt poor single mother living in a trailor. We can't just know the results of horse races or lotto numbers before it happens.

Hy Stephen welcome. there are some of us who like yourself use this board to learn from other peoples knowledge and experiences and I hope you find your path. Imo the first thing you've to do is decide what interests you most about the psychic and paranormal. You say you'd like to help people, nice one mate thats why I started training too. Try meditation or yoga or Tai Chi, something that teaches you breath control to get into states of altered consciousness. Read up on verything that interests you about subjects your interested in, and your inner Self will lead you to the right path. Of course you'll find your path will go off in different directions just go with the flow. First thing that you need to decide is whats your strongest interest. Get in to that first, and the rest will follow. I hope this helps you, best of luck

I've had someting similar to that happen to me before (although most things I've "thought" are generally short-term things, like same day), was pretty weird when I realised it at the time, but gradually I find you get used to it after a while. Admittedly, I've not once had the winning numbers come to me in a vision; in fact the only time I won anything on the Lotto was when I went for a quick pick, so I guess it's best to leave your winning in that respect to fate!

Stephen,dont worry about silly slaggings,your gonna get them, and for those asking about lotto results ect, that is not possible because thats abuse of a gift, the whole idea is to help people,not get greedy.
Anyway Steve i will pm a good group online for you to join ok, its great for you that you know you have something there,take your time exploring as your at a tender stage.

Well, it could be considered an abuse of your gift if you use it to win the lotto. It's why I always would use the quick pick option, although admittedly, I did that only once, but I won a little something on Lotto Plus (Extra?) 2!

There are people who use such gifts as part of thier personal developement and spirtual path and in service to thier gods not all pyshics are trying to again money by the use of thier gifts.

Itis the same skeptical comment which is used again and again in a joking fashion when someone mentions that they are psyhic they get asked to prove it by predicting something that will gain themselves or another person money.

Some people seem to think that is the only possible gain from such a gift.

Well, people joke that if you're psychic and able to tell the future, then you're able to forsee the winning lotto numbers. That joke has been around for ages, to the extent that whenever I mention to someone I'm psychic, I always mention that I don't do the winning lotto numbers. Besides, I think that ermonition/telling the future is giving a glimpse at a possible, rather than absolute future. It gets complicated in this regard because doing that option could lead you to that path, or a different one... same for if you choose not to do it. It's very much a mind-bending concept.

@OP, ok, some might say predicting the career path of snow patrol is random, but it shows theres something in your gut, your instinct, telling you you have a gift and to use it. As has been mentioned, join a group or start reading up on the subject. Find areas that interest you, and above all, follow your heart on this. Good luck.

Seriously though, although I do take the paranormal, being psychic, etc seriously, I do also tend to take the mick out of it too. You have to keep a sense of humour about this, or anything, really.
My attitude has always been to say the joke before the naysayer can.(I have a litany of blonde jokes for the same reason). Its only when I know someone is having a dig that I get ticked off.

Very true. Even when you're serious about something, it can't hurt to make a witty comment about something... well provided the person isn't offended. I do have a tendancy to joke about everything, although I try to keep on topic, but something it's a bit difficult...

Hehe, I've traditionally told people that they shouldn't have told me that they're blonde, because I view that as being granted a licence to tease them about it, but it has to be said, I do only do it out of love. I'm very much aware that blondes are not stupid, contrary to popular thought... quite a few of my female friends are blonde (as well as a girl I fancy and she's smarter than I am!) and I tease them about it the odd time. The temptation is a bit much not to at times!

If any of you lot ever thought I was going too far, I'd expect to be told I was, and usually a quiet word is enough, though it can be done on the thread too, depending on what it is I'm doing.

Either way, it does annoy me that people make fun of the fact that I take something like this seriously, as let's face it, there is more out there than we ever realise. Although what those particular people are doing is indulging in pure ignorance. I say don't knock it till you've tried it yourself... and even then, do have some respect for those that do do this sort of stuff, as we're not all chancers or charlatans.

AHA, now i get it, i didnt read it properly....typical me really.........yeh, i get stupid gags all the time, like the name of our cafe,Psychic cafe, people come in for food, you ask what theyd like and 9 times outve 10 they say,with a grin on their face "you should already know that" to which i reply "good one" ha ha NOT,its funny!
