Texture sounds

Not a major problem but i've noticed that in all the custom texture packs i've downloaded all the textures have the same sound when i walk on them. Any idea how to change them so a gravel texture sounds like gravel and so on ?

there is a .txt file in the cstrike directory called materials.txt

open it up and edit away.. there's instructions in it afaik
