DVD decoder help!

Just got my laptop formatted and I went to play a DVD there and it says it cannot be played because i havent got a compatible DVD decoder installed. Where can I get one? It worked fien before it was formatted..

Look thru the CDs that came with the laptop and reinstall the DVD software (cyberlink, powerDVD, etc). That will install the decoder. You can then use any media player that supports DVD playback.

After looking there, there is no cd like that, I havent even got a windows restore cd! Is there anywhere i can download a decoder?

Try using VLC Media Player, no decoder required.
