Watercolouring

Hey, My mother recently cought me a Watercolouring set but I know little about it. I presume you draw something with a light pencil first and then colour afterwards by first dipping the colour-pencils in the water...??? Kevin.

NOOOOOO! Please don't dip the pencils in water you'll ruin the tips on them...

Watercolour pencils are to be used to fill in and colour a drawing, you can go over them after with a brush dipped in water so your drawing is turned into a water colour....if you don't want your colours to run together only wet one colour and allow it to dry before wetting another colour...

...Thanks. On inspection there are indeed two small brushes in the set that I had not noticed before! They were, ummm, camouflaged...:rolleyes:
