Does anyone else collect diecast models? Here are some of mine, as you can see I like Limo's and hearses but I also have a large collection of fire engines too.

In total, all conditions boxed and unboxed I'd say I have in excess of 12,000. I have one room packed to the roof with stuff and I have more for restoration.

    Wonderful collection ...
If you happen to be restoring some at the moment - a restoration thread with some pics would be nice.

I went through a phase many years back when I was an avid collector of 1:43 scale Formula 1 cars. Bloody expensive hobby at the time and they are now all sitting in a number of boxes in my attic. My wife thinks my 'toy car' collection is funny but I viewed it as an investment!

Still with all the space they are taking up my must consider selling them one of these days!

Space is always a big problem and display space is an even bigger one. I'd love to spend more time restoring them but I just don't seem to have enough time. I bought loads of spares and I bought the CD's of the boxes to print off my own boxes so someday soon hopefully.:)
