    100 million (1/3 of the US population) peoples' personal data has been compromised due to data security incompetence, leaving them open to identity theft, credit fraud, their credit cards being switched off without notice, etc. etc.....

    This is even better than that AOL scandal!!! Now we can match names and addresses to all of the people in the leaked search database;)

    If it wasn't for the disclosure laws on such events companies would just bury it like they most likely do here

    Its one of the things that needs to come in here with the increase in identity theft credit card and atm scams.
