How to simulate sitar with guitar

    Hi fellow guitar players,


    does anybody now which scale should be use for simulate the sitar on the guitar?

    I need to tune up in a specific open tuning?

    kinda tough but something minor... natural minor, Harmonic minor, Melodic minor, Phrygian

    little slight, quick bends are somethin that will help too, you can really manipulate the notes with a whammy bar...

    Many eastern instruments are micro tonal, so it surew wont be easy! I'd try an open tuning like Open D: DADGAD. You can really get nice drone sounds resonationg in sympathy.

    Here's what I'd be doing. Think when I get dough I might. Couldn't be bothered to try and learn the theory. Just get this and noodle around. Hardly goin to be usinng that sound too often though.

    Yup, there's a Sitar simulator in my GT-Pro I use. It's nice for Wherever I may roam from Metallica. But I'm not sure if I'd use it for anything else though ...
