Using speech to type?

I was looking at a thing on lifehacker showing how to write your own speakable shortcuts eg. when you say "New Tab" in firefox it presses command + T.

Then i realised you can do this for whole words by changing the word:

tell application "System Events" to keystroke "word "

Would it be possible to dictate to your mac and have it type? Would there be any easy way of making a lot of these files automatically from a list of words? Is there something like this out there already?

    It'd be cool...

Going to have to try that tonight, I completely forgot about speech recognition.

    Here's the link btw.

Dunno about the voice to text though, that'd be cool if possible, I'm pretty sure there are programs out there for PC but not sure how good they are.

I had one for a pc ages ago and it was rubbish. This definately works, but it wouldnt be flawless, wouldn't do capitals or anything like that. If you put the file in the general speakable folder it works in any application. But it would take ages if you wanted to make a file for each word for hundreds of words.

Does anyone know how set up automator to make a new file for each word in a list/document and change it to that word? or any way to do it automatically?
