Do you have a 'HAVEN' in your own Home?

I currently live at home, with my parents, and up until last Christmas I shared my bedroom with 2 of my sisters.

Now that I have my own room I really value my space. I love having my own little 'Haven' to retreat to at the end of the day.

In an ideal world, when I marry, I will be able to create a 'personal' haven within my home.

I will be able to use a spare room as a 'pampering room', somewhere I can go to watch a DVD, listen to some music, and play with all my little beauty products, all my potions and lotions.... and just chill out and unwind.

It would be the female equivalent to the 'pool room', or the 'study', 'the den' and the 'garden shed'.

I am curious to know if there are many married couples who have seen advantages to having a personal haven within the family home?

Have you done it? Does it work for you?

Well, am not due to be married for a month but yes I do have my own room in our 3 bed, do not use it enough but my fiancee and I both have our own chill out rooms within our house. That may change in a few years time if we are lucky enough to have kids but we will have moved to a bigger house by then. I normally end up using the TV room more than my room though!

Each of my three kids have their own room. Whne my wife is sitting in the living room reading, we all just kinds don't bother her. We have another room that is our office and it is a solitude as well.

Mind you our kids are teenagers and they have learned when not to bother Mom and Dad.

Guys often call it their 'cave'.

Frequently in the basement or attic.

Also often known as an 'I love me' room.
