So wtf is the story with egging folk on halloween?

Sorry, on the lead up to and incl. halloween?

ffs.

Egged not 7 mins after leaving my place for the pub tonight and a friend copped one in the side of the face tonight aswell.

Pure fucking scum.

Drive-by egging both of them.

It was so bad I had to pick up 'ammo' before I walked home alone tonight.

I go to college down in Athlone and it seems to be the done thing for the last year. Four of us walking home from the cinema one night and some **** done a drive-by-egging hitting my mate on the back, luckily the egg didnt break until it hit the ground. If you walk into down from our flat, you would be suprised by the amount of broken eggs you would see on the ground.

Now we normally bring an egg with us or one of my mates even carries a stone just in case...

Everytime I've been egged they've been terrible shots and missed completely. Maybe I'm just lucky

I saw one car get an almighty egging in town there last night. I was driving through town myself, so the boot was to the board. There must have been about 50 of them either side of the road armed to the teeth with eggs. Of course my car matrix styled it out of there without one yolk on it. :cool:

As for the other car, it was covered from wheel to roof with eggs. When he/she got out to confront them it got even worse... I pity the foo.

I got done on the way home from work last Friday. 3 Cars in a row. About 10 eggs fired and one got me in the back.

I think it was a hard boiled on as well casue surely it would've broken but it didnt

Yeah, same! Happened a few weeks ago, was on my bike with a friend, car slowed down and before we knew what was going on a barrage of eggs flew out. And all missed.

Last night anyway, my friends went egging, and they actually hit - pelted - the queues in the Radisson in Galway waiting to get into nightclub! All the people dressed up etc....pretty low, I declined to join in.

i was the victim of a drive-by egging there some weeks ago...was sitting at a bus stop on the stillorgan dual carriageway at about 11pm having just left a friend's place. Luckly the little bastards had a **** aim and the egg hit the ground. My jeans only got the splash, but still made me mad, what if he had a good aim?!or got my head and i had to sit on a bus all the way home??!!....fu ckers

Anybody who thinks that throwing a projectile of any kind at another person is a joke is truly daft.

The concept of eggs and water balloons is that they're not supposed to hurt when they hit you and won't be fatal (you know, kind of like rubber bullets) and the mess is funny.

The reality is that having anyone throw something at you when you're not expecting it will frighten the wits out of you and possibly prompt violent retaliation. It's also extremely dangerous to do ANYTHING that distracts the driver of a car.

In this day and age, when frankly it's not unreasonable to expect the possibility of an unprompted assault from any direction when you're minding your own business, people'd really want to cop on.

And yes I've been on the receiving end of an egging on occassion, still funny!

Uhm, as bad as it is, I egged cars one halloween. Not my smartest move and something I do regret. I fully expect that when I get my own car, it'll be egged by someone just like I was.
