Sirius satellite (radio)

    Hi All,

    Does anyone know if the signal for Sirius satellite radio can be picked up in ireland, I know its a US company, but Im just curious.

    no info there website that I can find.

    Not receivable in Ireland.

    The closest equivalent here is Worldspace, and most of their output is now encrypted, including RTÉ via WRN.

    Europa-Max are planning to have a competing service available for Christmas 2008.

    In the meantime, you can get lots of radio stations for free using a standard FTA receiver and phono/spdif/optical out.

    Soon you should be able to subscribe to stream Sirius over the internet, according to this article. There will be two days next week (10/25 & 26) where people can try it free. There are many channels to listen to besides Stern's. He has two out of well over 100.

    They don't use geostationary satellites. They have three up there. I wonder do any pass over europe for a good part of the day?
