Task Manager Disabled - how to get back?

    Hi,

    I had some problems with spyware and viruses recently. i think i've managed to cleanup most if not all!
    Im not sure if this is related but my task manager button is disabled when i do a Ctrl Alt Delete. I think one of the spyware/virus may have flicked something in the registry or something to disable this... most likely to stop me killing the process responsible.

    anyone know how to get this back?
    If i log in under another account its not disabled.

    Windows XP sp2. using ad-aware and agv free edition
