Adaware update problem

    My adaware is failing to get the latest definitions. The error produced is "failed to retrieve update". I've literally just installed it from download.com (version 1.06), the definitions file is over 500 days old so I'd like to get it updated. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

    Just tried it, my definitions are 17 days old. I am getting the same message as you. You could try downloading them manually from the lavasoft website until its sorted I guess.

    edit: It managed to connect and download the update but says "it could not be read".

    i have been having the very same problem as ruu, 17 days and not able to get past 5% download, also have to shut down my computer as i cant get out of adaware once its opened

    Tried it there a second ago and it seems to be working again, all updated.

    Had no problems with Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE version 1.05, but when I upgraded to version 1.06 months ago, I began experiencing updating problems. Finally unintalled it.
