Is BF2 Widescreen Compatible?

I've been playing this fab game for over a year now on a standard 17inch TFT jobbie, but I've been thinking of upgrading to a lurverly 20+inch widescreen. Is BF2 widescreen compatible or will it look ****e? Anyone gone this way yet? Ta in advance.

Think you can edit the video con to get a sort of widescreen thing going on but its not native to the game so looks squidgy.

I played on a 32" and had no problems. I'm currently playing on a 26" HD so no problems there either.
