[Zen Vision:M] Good speakers

I'm looking to get some speakers for my Zen, Ideally I'd like some that I could just plug my Zen into á la Ipod speakers, I've seen creative versions but for micro only.

I want a compromise between portability (it'll be moved but not all the time) and and sound quality. A nice all in one sort of thing rather than a seperate speaker/woofer sort of thing... do they exist?

The obvious alternative is the FM emitter, so I could use my existing stereo systems. Can somebody tell me can you get them for Zen, how good they are sound quality wise, the best way to source these, a good model, are they legal in R.O.I. etc. etc!

The FM transmitters are not generally specific to a particular player (except the iTrip, I believe) - they usually just plug into the headphones socket.

They ARE still illegal to use in Ireland but this legislation is undergoing change. You CAN legally buy one.

As regards speaker sets that a Creative Zen Vision M can just slot into, I don't think there's any such thing on the market yet. If such a model is brought out, it will almost certainly be by Creative themselves, - keep an eye on their web site... particularly this page.

Actually you can buy a transmitter in Tommy's of Blanch for €20 called the iKool. I use it in the car to tune into my car stereo. Its the business. You just plug it into the headphone jack, tune in your radio and away you go.

AFAIK the legislation has now changed and they are LEGAL. Maybe someone else can dig up a definitive answer for you.

Friend of mine is just after buying these for her Zen Sleek, they're nice and compact and she seems to like them, nice and small too but I'm not sure if they're what you're looking for.

Rather than using an FM transmitter you can just buy a Phono cable or Mini-jack to Mini-jack cable to connect to your existing stereos (if they have a Line in) or even your TV. The cable will cost a few quid and the sound is better than from a transmitter.

These sound excellent for their size and price. It's my opinion that these sound better than their bigger brother which for for nearly twice the price.
