Thread. Like string, but a lot thinner, and more useful when sewing fabrics. Often dismissed as weak, and difficult to get through pinholes.

Dictionary.com defines thread as "A fine cord of flax, cotton, or other fibrous material spun out to considerable length, esp. when composed of two or more filaments twisted together."

So, please discuss, and share in the delights all things thread related, and pay
    homage to our friend, thread.

Suppose you're right except I am lucky to have many good views but I have seen some bad ones, and thanks to the thread it could have been much worse. But still makes the enjoyment of the good views even better.

It must be sad to need thread ?

mangled and frayed but strong in strain
a long loose thread trails behind
    catchind barbs and edges
tightening and warping the cloth's bind
