[BTC] New Server Details

Well now with the 1.4 out [BTC] have a server again . We went back to multiplay as we were always happy with the service and support there . It's a 32 player ranked playing pretty much all the maps , AF + EF will be run there aswell although in what manner or timeframe I am not sure yet . I think we run a good and well admined server , but then I would think that , wouldn't I . All are welcome , and then the muppets are banned .

Anyone looking for an admin can find one ( maybe ) on #badtaste @ quakenet .

Well ya could try PM one of the forum mods.

Anyway good luck with the server and i`ll try pop on espically since you say ye will have AF and EF maps too its real hard sometings to find a server running EF these days. Might pop in tonight after work.

Servers are alot easier to get going these day with the lower requirements , and we like the EF and AF maps for a change , the are in the running line up , but , they do have a tendency to empty the server . Maybe we should just try for a set EF+AF night .

I went on there about an hour ago but the server was empty, well at least I think it was youre server but the server had nothing to let know know whose server I was on. I might try pop in again later on this evening.

Change of plan here , put on some AF and EF maps and kept getting a msg that I could not join .

this server only allows players with unmodified content to join . Revert your version of battlefield 2 to the official version to join .

Can join and play the std maps no problem . gonna take it to the support forums on totalbf2 in the morning and see if anyone has come accross this .

Checked it last night but no one was on...

Would be cool to the get a regular night with the rest of the boards crew on a this server...

Yeah , for some odd reason there was no one around last night , only one other guy on TS and he was playing SF , went on the server for a while but got bored and went off playing DOD....DOD! , I hadn't played it in ages ..

Yeah , they are both installed , I haven't changed anything in my BF for a long time . I hadn't tried either EF or AF since the 1.4 patch until last night so this was the first I knew about a problem . Posted this morning on Totalbf2 and I see that some others are having the same problem .

Sorted . I was one of the few that edited the cache files in EA downloader the time we thought the 1.4 was comming out . I deleted the EA downloader and reinstalled it , then brought back the EF and AF folders and files , but the Downloader showed them as needing to be installed , I didn't think there was any point as they were already . This morning I installed EF and AF from the downloader and re-patched with the 1.4 and it worked fine . So maybe it was related to the EA downloader thinking that they were not installed and linking that to my a/c ...

yeah I have that problem with special forces on my other PC and im too lazzy to sort it out atm.
