I am a big eminem fan, have been for some time and its well known among the people I hang around with that I listen to his stuff a _lot_. I was out the other night and a friend asked me what my favourite song of his is, but when I opened my mouth to reply I came up blank... I really couldn't answer her and it got me to thinking, what IS my favourite song? There are so many that I really like but I think if it came down to it my 3 that stand out would have to be

    1. Role Model
    2. Criminal
    3. Mockingbird

All pretty old school but don't get me wrong I like 'shake that' and 'lose yourself' as much as the next person. Anyone else with an opinion on this?

old school, eminen isn't old school, run dmc, public enemy, pete rock & cl smooth thats old school. c'mon man, now back to the topic, eminem's best track "any man" it was on the first rawkus soundbombing mixtape i think, class tune

    Old school Eminem I'm assuming.

Don't have a favourite track myself, but prefer the stuff off Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP to his later stuff.

Mockingbird isnt old school at all!!!and is the only above sh*t song on Encore. Sorry if im wrong but u seem like one of these people who only like Em for the sake of it(when u put Shake That and Lose Yourself in the same category).
Favourite Songs- Lose Yourself, Role Model, Rock Bottom, Any Man, Still Dont give a F*ck, Sing For The Moment

Dont want too sound too intentionally backpackery but the b-side of the d12 single **** on you has the class Everlast diss "I remember" he absolutely kills him only one verse but so vicious. That's Classic Eminem! Cop dat ish!

He's got a nice verse on "The Anthem" & his first two albums have some decent tracks. But he hasn't released a decent track since then imo.

and neither is any other eminem track, don't know how i forgot to mention this in my previous post but em's verse on renegade (jay z - the blueprint) is without doubt his best guest appearance

Drug Ballad or Superman. Lately I've been listening to Superman a lot, I think that is the best produced of his songs.
Criminal deserves a mention too though.

That 'The Anthem' verse was pretty nice,as was his Jay-Z colab on Blueprint. As was that track where he is falling off a skyscraper.Other then that his stuff is either repetitive or corny. And his beats are...:(

Haven't listened to Eminem in ages, but had to reply to this tread because there was a time when there was no other Hip hop in my life just Eminem, I'm talking When Silm Shady lp was first released and only about two people actually knew who he was, and You would only ever see an Emimen Video every two weeks on Yo! on a Wed night at Midnight, ah the early Hip hop days, (Snaps out if nostalgia buzz)

    Anyway

About 80 persent of the stuff on The slim shaddy album, I also love My dads gone crazy, some of the verses on that song are just genius. Really there are so many good ones. Girls, the hidden track on D12 - Devils night is amazing, a DJ lethal dis, class stuff.

had a relisten to slim shady lp yesterday & i must say it really hasn't held up over time at all, really was very poor i must say!!! Marshall mathers definitely holds up better. Finally thought of a full song of his i like, rather than just a verse on a track, its called rock bottom, and its more so for the beat & production than for anything slim does on it

Maybe "white america" or "lose yourself". I find that his more serious songs are his best. "Shake that ass" was fcuking hilarious though, especially the video! I still get all hyped up when they play it in the club!!!
