Is camping in the Phoenix banned. What about areas in the Wicklow mountains?

Camping in Phoenix would be dangerous. I don't recommend it.

There's plenty of places in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains to camp. The Coillte forests are the best places. I've seen a few people camping in Coillte this summer. As long as you pitch your tents away from the main tracks and don't burn the place down you should be grand.

I recommend you get a car and visit some of the forests and see which takes your fancy. There are 23 to choose from!

It would certainly be an adventure.

There is a campsite somewhere out in Clondalkin, by all accounts it's a very good site.

Just ignore the gangland criminals disposing of their victims.
