Having sat through a movie with jaw dropping fights but the worst plotline ever :)

It got me wondering - would the majority of what Jaa does in the movie, be a hollywood-ised version of Muay Thai or a more accurate reflection of it

Scene of interest in the movie is Jaa vs some Capoeira bloke (Lateef Crowder)

the small video does not do this fight justice

Tom yum goong (warrior king) was not a muay thai movie. Ong Bak however was more muay thai orientated.

Saw this in the cinema last night, thought it was a bit ****. I like elephants, I like Muay Thai (no need for pedantics) but the film seemed almost completely devoid of plot line and descent fights.

well your wrong there my friend,
tom yum Goong(Honor of the Beast) is a Muay Thai movie, did you not watch it, christ, all it does is revel in Thailands ancient history of guys smashing other blokes to bits, He does all the movies under the supervision of his master, so is all Muay Thai, his master was in Ong Bak.

It uses a different style of Mauy Thai, please see this

Yes I watched it - and it was more flicky flacky martial arts than the muay thai he demonstrated in ong bak. I only saw the visuals as when I saw it, it was not subtitled for me. hardly anythnig in it resembled muay thai.
