    Hi,

I'm set to see a doctor today or monday about a lump on one of my testicles, its pretty clear its not infection (had this before) and has all the signs of either cyst or Cancer ? I'm not jumping any guns but having had an infection previously I'm pretty certain something's not quite as it should be.

I'm not asking medical questions here, just that I'm due to remortgage my house soon and worried badly this will affect my mortgagability etc...?

Anyone know how this affects mortgages, insurance etc ?

Unless it's diagnosed as cancer, it won't affect insurance/mortgage offer at all. Lumps are very common, and those turning out to be nasty, relatively rare. For some peace of mind: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/menshealth/facts/testicularlumps.htm

    Thanks for the post.

I've been thru a few good websites too on this and I'm not hopeful at this stage... I'm trying to remain positive with this and until I get it checked out etc I can only wonder (albeit nervously!).... have a doc appointment tonight so will get the ball rolling (excuse the very bad pun)....

Just whats consuming me is the "life - affect" this will have in terms of providing for my family in the future. It was annoying enough having to undergo a medical for the mortgage in the first place only to be told by an utterly obese physician to lose weight (am a bit overweight but not massive).... wtf will this do to my chances of ever finding insurances etc if it is confirmed....

I hope it turns out to be nothing.

Regarding mortgages/insurance - When I went to get life assurance for my mortgage I was refused on health grounds. The mortgage company got me to sign a waiver stating that I knew the implications of not having cover should I pop my clogs. Apparently it is fairly standard.

    Take care!

Thanks for the support hand help here. Much appreciated !

I went to the Doc on Friday... annyonigly I had to see a locum (who appeared to be rather clueless!) Anyhow, he thought the lump was more than likely benign but I'm getting an appointment thru for the Urologist as he was not 100% sure.... least things are moving... its in the back of my mind now till I get the appointment but hey, its moving along at least....

Lance Armstrong is a good one... if only I was as thin !!!

    Thanks again..
