BF2 Evening...

15-07-2006 11:07AM#1There's been a few threads floating about talking about going back to the good 'ol days and playing dome BF2 together. I'm just wondering if there's enough interest in the game to make this possible.
I'm not talking about a league but getting a bunch of us on the same server at the same time; nothing more than that.
But judging from the slow-down of posts here I wonder if people are playing other games or if they're drinking large bottles of Bulmers in the sun rather than spotting enemies )Do you still play B2? Wanna play with me? 37 votes

No. Don't have the time and/or interest.23 people. Not bad I suppose, esp. as some of you could rope the ood clan member along too.
All I was thinking of doing was putting up a post saying "Hey, we're all playing on this server next Sunday" for example so if anyone feels like a game then they know where people are. Often I look on the leaderboards to see 8 or 9 people from here all online at the same time but in different servers. We can easily use an irish/Uk ranked server and give it a little life between us

No. Don't have the time and/or interest.In an ideal world, we'd all have had xfire installed since last year and at any one time we could just turn it on and see where everyone was playing. If you saw that 3 members were in the same server then you just joined that server and other board members would just follow suit.
The thing that always get's me though is communications. TS and Vent are cool but I just love VoIP. The ability to join a server and join a squad and not have to install other programs or look for the clans TS server details for example make gaming a lot easier.
In an ideal world 20 of us could be on the same server, either playing with each other or against, but anyone who left a squad to join another wouldn't have to then ALT-TAB to the desktop to change their Vent channel so they could speak to other members.
Oh well...I'l just ramble on a little more here....36°C today so my brain is overheating 0 -
