What was your first set?

With all the talk of Lego recently I'd been trying to rack my mind and remember what my first set was. Thanks to Brickset after a little browsing around I found my first ever Lego set. Sniff.....

Mine was the lego police station. it was so class. It was around the time of chips on telly and one of the little guys even had a motorbike. it was the best enjoyment ever for a 5 yr old!

fisrt lego set i owned was a lego technic red motorbike

first one i played with was a fireengine that my dad kept ont eh shelf w/ some model fire engines he collects. i think its still up there

Ah, the memories!

Looking at the favourite set thread, I now recall I had some of the 1985 sets - the airport, a jet, a fire station and a two truck.

The first sets I had were just boxes of Basic but the very first lego sets I can remember having were these two which I got for Christmas 1984:

I can't remember exactly what my first Lego set was I reckon it was one of the helicopter sets which you could put a lego man in.

can't remember the first set i bought (think it was a car or something like that) but i started off on hand me downs from my uncles and there were hundreds of the little blocks so all i could make either houses or huge towers that reached my ceiling. must search the house now next week see if i can find some pics

Brickset doesn't seem to have my first set. It was big red FireStation with these rollable garage doors that seemed out of this world at the time

I remember this being my pride and joy tho.
