Recycling batteries?

    Anyone know of anywhere I can recycle a bag full of used A4 batteries?

    Depends where you are located!

    Balleally Landfill in Lusk (North Co Dublin) have a facility for recycling batteries.

    Just dont try recycling them in the fire... Not a good idea! :D

    But there was a bin in my college to recycle them.

    If you can get into the city centre, there are special bins in Trinity College (in the student union shop, and I think in the Arts building). If not, many of the bigger community schools have them. Good going with recycling them though, throwing them in the bin is a really bad idea (for anyone who doesn't know, they're full of really, really nasty chemicals).

    Superquinn have recycling bins for batteries, and so have most mobile phone shops, though I'm not sure if this is just for mobile batteries.
