Boards RSS feeds

I've just learned of the joys of RSS! From a search of boards, I've found a feed for new threads. I'm sure it's been mentioned before, and there's probably a good reason why it's not available, but an RSS feed for each forum would be really, really useful! I'm sure it could reduce server/database loads too :confused:

I've just learned of the joys of RSS! From a search of boards, I've found a feed for new threads.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, and there's probably a good reason why it's not available, but an RSS feed for each forum would be really, really useful!

I'm sure it could reduce server/database loads too

Server/database load would probably be much the same, but network traffic might be much lower though. Sounds like a great idea.

yeah RSS feeds are dead handy (I assume that was a VBulletin original feature?)

When I click the link above, there is no feed in it. If I delete the forumids variable in the querystring, the full list across all feeds comes up but not for individual forums. Any suggestions?

Hi! That seems to work but do you have the feed for the webmaster forum? I tried both:

http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/external.php?forumids=23 (which is the forumid in vbulletin)
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/external.php?forumids=5 (the overall tech)

or is there some other id that I need to put in?

The problem is the ampersand in the title "boards.ie - Webmaster & Flash" is breaking the parser.

Maybe one of the admins can figure out how to escape it properly or rename it to something more XML friendly.
