    Hey, apologies for the stupid question. I just bought BF 1942 to mess around with on my laptop, upgraded to the most recent patch (1.6.19 I think). When i try to log on to online multiplayer games most of them say I do not have the right version and do I want to upgrade, click "yes" and nothing happens. Whats up here? Cheers for the help

    Get: battlefield_1942_incremental_patch_v1.6_to_v1.61b.exe

    Proberly what you need.

    yup syco thats done the trick, cheers man. And thanks too FI that link reminded me that I needed to DL desert combat, which I am doing now. Much appreciated fellas!

    PunkBuster may also disconnect you - I noticed this after I stopped playing the game for a few months - that sticky thread also has a link showing how to use the manual updater.
