    so i was woken by a screeching tyres and a bang just an hour ago and looked out the window to see some dude running from a maroon [strike]stutz bearcat[/strike] BMW.
    i assumed it was a local doctor (he looked a bit middle eastern and the locum for my GP is middle eastern) rushing to the aid of one of my neighbours.
    then i heard the sirens and thought it was an ambulance.
    so i went out to pick up my bin (it had been knocked over by the car) and the cops came around the corner.
    turns out the pharmacy in the village had just been knocked over and this was their get away car.
    the cops did the usual taking of a brief statement and my name and number.
    most exciting thing to happen in my extremely dull life all month.

    anyone missing a maroon '92 BMW, it's parked outside my house and has a slight dent in the back passerger side door.

    ok. if it's your car, the cops now have it. it is currently being towed away.
    i'm just glad they didn't burn it out.
