BF1942 crashing

Does anyone else still play this? Well DC Final to be more precise. It's been working fine up until recently, where it will just quit to desktop after loading a map - I've only noticed it with Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima so far. Any ideas? Should I just try and re-install?

It always used to crash at guadacanal for me.
