What graphics card would run this game on all high settings ?

In the manual the last one for nvidia is the 6800 ultra ! Does this mean if I had this card it would all run great ?

I run all high on a PCI-E 7800GT, @ 1024*758*16 What res are you looking @ playing at, what sort of graphics connection do you have, and how much money are you gonna spend?

I assume you mean Battlefield 2, well the 6800 is a powerful card and with max settings you should get 50+ FPS...

And with the various 7xxx model series out, the 6xxx series has dropped in price. The 6800 is a nice card and thats saying a lot as i am an ATi fan :D

    Good luck!

I think a 6800gt just falls short of running bf2 on all high settings.

At least on a full 64 man game with a lot of smoke/dust.

I'de go for a 7xxx if i was buying again.

    My 2 cents

    Wavey.

I have a 6800 ultra, TBH the fps drop to the low 30's for me online(high settings). But just drop one or two settings to medium and it's fantastic, i even leave AA on full settings.

And omg Fli has posted on boards.ie:D

i have a radeon x800GT, run everything on high, but with AA only on 2 or 4x, can't remember. but i get a great fps, runs smooth as a babys bum etc. etc.

How do ye think a radeon 9500 pro (softmod) would hold up? (not expecting anything miraculous tho) and will 512 megs of ram work or will I need a gig?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 327 ✭✭Jackabo

Yeah 9500 should let ya run it on a mix of low/medium settings.
As for the ram ...500 will be laggy in game ,big maps with 500 is a pain in the nuts ..so a gig would be the best option m8y ;)

Ive currently got a 6600GT and 2gb of RAM and i run everything at medium except my distance view is up full, i used to run it on 512mb RAM and a FX5200 at Low with the distance up full again, Although that was pushing it. :D

Any nVidia 6 or 7 series are a safe bet tbh. Dont like ATI :P

You also need bucket loads of RAM and processor speed to get a nice fps. You could have the best graphics card in the world and still chug along if you havn't got 3+ processor and 2 gig of ram.

I've got a radeon X850XT*, which is a damn nice card, but I've only got one gig of RAM which slows the whole lot down a bit.

*Put that in your ATI hating pipe and smoke it Vialli :D

    Radeon X1800XT w/51MB VRAM and a P4 3.0GHz machine with 2GB of DDR2.
Battlefield 2 plays rather well :D

I raise you x1900xt 2.5Ghz AMD Dual core and 2Gb of 250fsb RAM. :D Hot knife and butter are two words that come to mind. I play at max res on a 3007wfp.
