Want to learn to fly.

Hi

I was wondering there are any flight training schools in Ireland where you can pay to learn to fly. I cant find any on google, or is it that its illigal or something.

I don't know where they are, but there are some, yeh... A couple of people I went to school with used to go to them.

They're very pricey though.

Im training for the PPL in weston in leixlip
they have a website, theres a few schools there too
not sure of the address for it but check google and youll find it
flight prices per hour are about 130 euros
you need roughly 45 hours logged up to prepare for your private pilots license (ppl)
there are quite a few extra costs too and theres a fair bit of ground school / textbook stuff you need to learn
i know this msg sounds very vague but im sufferin from a bad hangover at the mo!

I went to a really good one in Birr, (Ormond Flying Club) it was cheaper than the above poster but this was 2004. Biggest inconvenience is getting down there (If you live in Dublin). Nothing fancy, just an airfield with dodgy looking planes, great fun though. Gave it up after the leaving cert kind of regret that.
