Farting!

I was just wondering what people thought about a little argument i had with my girlfriend.

She doesn't like me farting so being the gentleman i am i dont fart around her. But i do like a good fart in the morning in the toilet.
She says i should stop this as she has to go in to the toilet after me and also says she can hear it from the bedroom and finds it repulsive.
I say where can i fart if i cant fart in the bedroom. Its natural and you have to let it out sometime. - the argument goes on.

What do other people think and please state whether your male or female.

i come from a family of farters though everyone does it granny included

girl farted in exams today nobody seemed to care thought it was funny

tell her to grow up or fart in her face a few times

We've been going out 18 months and I've heard her fart once. She got embarrassed. I think its 1 all at this stage though.

Anyway - my point - I think its pretty gross and only for within the comfort of your own privacy (or someone where someone else cant reap the eh..."rewards")

Sounds like she makes the biggest stink in your household.

OP tomorrow morning get up before she wakes. Then squat over her head and rattle her awake. As she comes too just let off a big ripper right in her face and tell her she doesn't know how good she has it.

Believe it or not, some people don't like smelling other peoples farts... shocking I know... how about some manners/decency or respect for other people?
The amount of shíte I'd get off someone because they can smell my cigarette smoke from across the building... yet they'd fart in my presence.
And before anyone mentions it, I've smelled farts that I'm sure would give you cancer if you inhaled enough of them. :eek:

I fully endorse the theory that you can enjoy your own farts but are repulsed by other peoples... fart in seclusion, dont kill other people with your bowel fumes.

I think Im a bit weird for a man in that i wouldnt do it in public at all and dont like it when my mates do it either. I just think its bad form, and while I accept that if we didnt do it, we'd explode, I just think theres a time and a place etc. Its rude if a man does, it and if a female did it I have to say id never look at her the same way again! Especially if we were in a relationship. Its a bit old fashioned but thats what I think

I have never heard of anyone having a problem with hearing someone farting in a TOILET. But many women are uptight about farting and sh1tting. Your gf sounds like she's particularly uptight. It's like a phobia for many women they are so disgusted and appalled by toilet matters that they don't eat enough fibre in their diet because they're afraid it'll result in big healthy sh1ts. The result is constipation and "bloating" which they try to cure by drinking gallons of "healthy bacteria" yoghurts

Myself and my girlfriend are 2 years together and engaged. She used to never be able to fart in front of me, nor me in front of her. That lasted a few months. Now we couldn't care less... (* unless of course, it totally fumigates the place, with the stench causing you to not want to even breathe... but that's usually me, not her...) It's sort of a sign of being used to each other.

I remember when I first met my husband, we were in the bedroom and I farted and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. He then proceeded to proclaim to me that his mother had never farted and how un-ladylike this was. After we were married I told his mother about this and I have never seen someone laugh so hard. To prove that she does fart she did it in the same room as him. The look of shock literally made me almost pee myself laughing!

So yes women do fart and really I think it's rather sexist that some men think we shouldn't...ok you stop then too!
