    Seriously though, that seems like a good idea, imho that is truely a good way of taking advantage of broadband... If things were like that in Ireland, we could truly be called the 'E-Hub of Europe' and not cringe when someone mentions or asks about it...

    Korea really have had the right idea over the past few years with regard to internet access.

    Of course, technology is very important to the success of their economy, they have 70% of people living in urban areas (meaning broadband should be relatively cheap when those few major cities are wired to each other) and one of their major markets for products is right next to them, even though they've had something of a poor history with them, even leading to a situation where many of their citizens have a rooted mistrust of that major neighbour. They also have a young population which is relatively tech-knowledgeable (as in while they may not know all the intricacies of building the Net infrastructure, they have a big interest in using it)

    The last paragraph sound like any country any of us know? It's also technically a partitioned state, in case anyone's slow on the uptake:p
