Are you sure you clicked "send now" and not "schedule for later"?

I click that by accident a lot now, 'cos it's where the send now button used to be. The site was changed bigly in the past while, so . . .

Take a site which functions perfectly then replace it with a pile of ****e that takes forever to load and spends half its time down.

    Well done O2 <clap clap clap>

It really gives one confidence in their technical abilities.

yeah the webtexts seem to be a bit dodgy since they got the new site.

i just do what the OP did & send a text to myself before i text anyone to check if theyre working, otherwise gotta use up actual credit! :(

    i would but
1), i have no cradit and cant get to the shop at the mo'.
2), i am texting to a english number
3), there is no real point in me buying credit for my o2 phone as it is my old phone (i have a newer vodafone phone) and the only reason i am using it is because it is v dear to txt to english numbers and the vodafone webtexts can only be sent to national numbers..
