Can someone please tell me how I could get tickets for Ireland's
    home and away game's?

Was on the FAI website nothing really there about it.

The matches are starting in September.

    Cheers

Probably one for the soccer forum.....but for the Word Cup qualifiers you could apply for tickets on the FAI website. I'm sure it will be updated once ticket allocations are known. Did you try calling the FAI?

    Conor.

    Joe Bhoy

I think Celtic shirts will be banned from Ireland games from now on.
The FAI want people to wear an Ireland jersey / the jersey of a Eircom league team or no jersey.

Tickets for the home matches are available usually in blocks of 2 or 3 games. Just to make the small games a sell out as well as the big games. As for away games the FAI usually give first preference to people who buy the block booked tickets first.

Im thinking of going to Germany away. Should be gettin tickets from a fella who has something to do with the underage set up. Im not so sure exactly hoe you would go about getting tickets for a game like this as half the people I know are planning to go to this match.

They should be mainly allocated through eircom League clubs. Fran Rooney tried to push that issue and the North Terrace was a great spot during his tenure...pity about the results of course...

You haven't a hope of getting tickets for home competitive games through the FAI unless the situation changes with the move to Croke Park. Blockbookers, like me, have all the tickets taken in advance.

WTF. How would that be right.

Is there not a website where they come on sale say at 2 in the morning
or something, first come first serve?

You have to ring the FAI and ask to put your name down on the block list. Once on the list you will have to buy tickets in packages usually of 2 or 3 games.

Only problem is there is quite a big waiting list so you havent got a hope in hell of getting tickets. Just put yourself on the waiting list and maybe by the time your 65 you will make it onto the list proper.

    That's fcuking sh!t the bastards.

Surely they have to be selling some tickets on the like's of
ticketmaster or on the FAI website?

How the fcuk is normal guy sapposed to get tickets?

To avoid the barstool plastic hammer ole ole brigade and get them to fans who actually follow the game here rather than follow the Sky Sports hype.

Oh so someone who support's the likes of Monaghan are true fans.

Is there not a rule that some tickets have to go on sale on a website?

It's not that difficult to comprehend.
Irish people supporting Irish soccer clubs.

Why shouldn't they get preference when it comes to tickets for Ireland's international games?

    Well put.

And Celtic fans should have access to tickets for Scottish games. And ManU fans for English internationals etc. etc.

Look all I want to know is there a website that would be selling tickets
    for the world cup quialifiers?

Not a rant and rave about the sh!t Eircom League!

So your telling me all tickets go to some guy in the Eircom League
and he gives them out to the fans? Cause I really dont know
what ya mean just by saying the Eircom League.

Is the chairman or whatever of a club entitled to a ticket more
    than your normal Joe Soap

No there isnt. Like I said, you have to be on the block list to get tickets. They dont go on general sale anywhere for any matches only friendly games. The system is steaming pile of poo but it is what it is.

And yes if you are a member of an Eircom League club you can get tickets. Fact of the matter is the Eircom League is part of Irish soccer so go support Irish soccer and then maybe you can get a ticket.

Its pretty obvious that someone who supports the sport in Ireland is more entitled to a ticket than Joe Soap. I can see that and im not even a member of any club and cant get tickets to Ireland games.

Not a rant and rave about the sh!t Eircom League!.

Just because you love the glamour of Clyde and Buckie Thistle in whatever Highlands League Celtic play in.

You have to laugh at the insanity of it all. I mean, watch the English League at least, or Spanish or Italian, if you're not going to support your local team. But watching Inverness play Gretna...:D :D

I agree that Eircom League supporters should get some allocation but I don't think all the tickets should go through them. In fairness, pretty much the whole of the Irish squad play in British leagues so if you die-hard Eircom League supporters don't think people should be supporting "foreign" leagues, why should you support the players who choose to play in them? The reality is, most Irish people support English teams because it's a better standard and it doesn't make them any less Irish. So they should have as equal a chance as Eircom supporters of getting tickets...That's my opinion anyway.

As long as Irish people continue to support English / Scottish teams above their own local clubs the domestic game will not attain the aforementioned 'better standard'. I support an English club and make no bones about it but when I lived in Dublin (for 12 years) I made an effort to go to as many League of Ireland games as I could.

If I was from Scotland I wouldn't be asking about Ireland tickets.

I go to every Eircom League game well as many as I can doesn't mean I can get tickets.

Buy a season ticket for any EL club and get them tru the club if you want tickets for every game (mad noone thinks of that).

Works out cheaper than the block booking (assume 80% of every game is sold to block bookers) with it being Croker for some of the games getting a ticket shouldnt a problem.

For away games Ray the tout Tracey will extort serious amount of cash from you, but flying to wherever and getting local ticket is a lot cheaper.

I have four season tickets with Bray KdjaC and never thought of using them to get Ireland tickets. Is it honestly that easy?

As easy as when you played Schoolboy.

Actually didnt read the insane replies on this thread just answered the OP, but umm shouldnt irish people who go to irish games get 1st choice on irish national games. Regardless of standard of game they go to games in ireland.

And also shouldnt schoolboy and lsl players get tickets before those who who dont play or go to games in IRELAND for IRELAND games?

Kinda makes sense to me, if you support English or foreign teams go to their national teams games.

I have had tickets for every Ireland game since umm well a long time ago, dont go last game i was at was 96ish. But got them all tru Pats, the FAI promising more tickets to EL fans but no **** its in Croker and they make noise at games, hence being moved to a practiclly all El section.

Seems the block bookers/prawn sambo brigade dont encourage the team enough :D

The south stand in Croker is being touted as the "home" end for our games there (Which are forever HA Gaa FF screwed you!!!)
