    OCCT or a 32M run of super PI ar great for testing stability in between changes.

    When you settle on an overclock, You can then run Prime 95 for 8+ hours.

    All the benchmarks will test ram, OCCT will stress it the most, and Prime 95 wont stress it a lot.

    Did you start overclocking yet?

    has the 6800ultra arrrived?

    I find SuperPI the weakest there tbh, can pass it no bother but fails Prime after < 1 min

    Its usually fairly obvious. A BSOD or a lockup is the usual results from an unstable system.

    To make it more obvious disable the Automatic REstart Tickbox in Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery.

    I have never had OCCT, Super PI or Prime 95 lock up the system.

    OCCT says " test failed" And Super PI and Prime, give an error.

    I find a 32M pass of Super PI very good at finding ram problems, it finds them after a few minutes.

    I always run a few hours (8) of Prime 95 to be sure of stability;)

    yeah i got the 6800U... its good, but it doesn't overclock well, i can't get even an extra 25Mhz out of the core clock, it starts giving me artifacts if i increase it at all past 400Mhz. I can get about an extra 200-300Mhz out of the memory clock and it runs pretty stable, gets me an extra few frames in FEAR.

    I'm at FSB 220Mhz (HTTx4, CPUx11, divider 1:1, vcore:1.45v, ram:2.6v) I'll post my sis sandra and 3dmark scores when i reach my limit. I just wanted to see how my system would heat up with a conservative increase in clock. The temp has risen 2'c overall in the system. I'll be running memtest on my ram tonight, from reading around, i haven't seen many people get past 225Mhz (450Mhz DDR) for TwinMOS ram at 2.7v, i don't want to go near 2.7v yet, so i'll test 230, at 2.6v tonight. If it fails, then i'll drop it. BTW, i can't get my RAM stable at 1T.. bit p!55ed off with that performance hit.

    Dont bother overclocking the Twinmos if it will only reach DDR450.

    And 2.7 volts could be a bit risky with it.

    Just use a divider and see can you run it a 1T at its stock speed;)

    When i change from 1T to 2T my AM3 score drops around 2500 points:( So its a big performance hit seen as a 20% overclock on my 7800gt scores an extra 2500 points.

    Just try and max out the CPU, once the load temps are between 40 and 50 degrees it will be fine

    But they did no 1T V 2T tests.

    You have to find the best balance of timings/clock speed

    Obviously DDR400 at 2-2-2-5 would be better than DDR450 at 3-4-4-11;)

    But DDR600 at 2.5-3-3-8 would be better than DDR400 at 2-2-2-5

    When is your new rig arriving?

    P.s is your x2 3800 sold?

    hey cozzy could you pls post a pic of your ram page on bios.i know i have diffrent ram just wana see.was looking at the bios there and god do dfi give you allout of options im so confused now lol.
