Websense & how to bypass it?

    Hi Folks,

    I have a quick question to ask.....
    The company I work for use Websense to block sites that they think we shouldn't be looking at eg jobsites :D

    I heard mention of a website that you can connect to that will create a 'portal' to connect to other web sites so that they're not blocked.
    Maybe this is just my imagination, but does such a thing exist?
    Any help would be appreciated!

    any proxy server will do this - justy google it.

    Read your contract. Most companies see trying to bypass programs such as Websense as a sackable offence.

    Yeah - but websense sucks donkey díck. It's a moral imperative to bypass it. I'm in work now and boards.ie is blocked ... but http://boards.dyndns.org isnt ;)

    Proxy servers work as do Dynamic DNS services - www.dyndns.org

    if you've access to a linux box a way to ensure they can't notice ye bypassing their stuff is to ssh to the linux box n setup a tunnel through ssh so its all encrypted ;)

    Though i guess they could still look in your browser history/cache or just see it on you screen...
