Lack of servers and laggy servers...

Ok there are only a maximum of 48 playable servers available to me. the rest are red, I have all the latest patches and all the expansion packs. Also, when I am on a server it's as laggy as hell. I have checked the box "same version only". I can't understand this at all... I have a 3 meg unshared connection and everything else is grand with the net... any ideas apart from reinstalling and getting all the patches???

re-populate the list (can't remember the wording on it, it's next to refresh list anyway). always works for me when i get 100- servers.

as far as lag goes, i always check the ping before i enter a server... i also have plenty in my favourites list to keep me happy, all based in europe.
