Well id like to start by saying good games to yas all lads (and [BTC]Viriconia) the game was really enjoyable and i got a load of screens to stick up too

Well ill just post a few quotes that came from a few members in the boards 5 team from irc here then ill tell yas the score.

So after reading those comments you would have thought NRG 2 had no chance well heres the scores.

Round 1 NRG 2 (USMC) Vs. Boards 5 (MEC) - 166-0
Round 2 NRG 2 (MEC) Vs. Boards 5 (USMC) - 145-111
Total - 311 - 111 to NRG 2 and the end of the second round ended with no USMC alive and no flags for the USMC just the timer ran out

I had disastrous first round as I was on the suicide squad, second round went ok some good kills, I was playing as sniper and had only 1 bar of health left so i lay down near the office building (while NRG occupied it) deployed the claymores and got four kills before ya got me. EVD spawned right in front of me and bam claymore death.

Everyone on the NRG squad well done, very impressive especially in the first round. Tactically we were poor, not because our plans were bad but yours were better.

We need better comms

claymores really have no place in inf games, along with no c4. This is in line with the standard inf rules most clans observe in eurpoe.

They are bloody frustrating alright, But they also add a nice twist because you know there goona be in and around the flag making you think twicw about leggin it into a flag.

They shuld be perfectly legal. claymores are anti personnell, not anti tank/vehicle. It'd be like not letting people use betty's/punji sticks in nam. You can see them on the ground, if you run into them, its your own fault.

agreed, there were times last night when I would get killed by a claymore and be like, **** sake i could see that one, don't mind if they are well hidden (i usually go to great lengths to hide them) but when i see it and still run into it, then i start to get angry with myself

kdjac, agree - stands now as rules sumbitted, but if we do this again and i hope we do then this should be looked at.

why should they be not allowed? they are way more powerful than c4.

1) you kill teh sniper they stay active
2) massive radius
3) no counter unless you sacrifice a few guys
4) they dont kill teammates

inf competition is just that, a game revolving around infantry battles assulting flags and squad work etc, plus its a great way to play the game in an enviroment free of the gheyness factor of tank and helo raping.

inf is a very popular way to play and most clans take part is some form of this gamestyle, rules are pretty standard for most cups and leagues (with the exception of clanbase which appears to have no clear cut rules)

usually rules are - no c4, no claymores no vehicles no commanders
varations include, flag by flag/no support/bullets only.

Would assume if fairy starts the 8v8 they be in that, personally dont like them they take away from the Inf idea, which means you can have an unguarded base with a little doorbell to let you know someone is at it.

But with 6 players i dont think Inf works that well in Bf2. And for future i think boards teams should be allowed have 2 extra players on there team
