    Okay this is gonna be long-ish, bear with me please.

    Before installing SF everything ran smoothly with not even the most minor of problems. The multiplayer menu was smooth annd I could start single player missions.

    After installing Special forces the multiplayer menu was slow, I clicke on a server and everything freezes for about 5 seconds, I could ignore that because it ran fine after clicking. Tried to join a multiplayer game and SF, reboot, re-attempt, same problem just keeps crashing.
    Single player now crashes when I try to start up a game.

    I re-installed everything, repatched everything, and still have the same problem.
    Can anyone offer a solutions or advice?

    Specs:: AMD 64 3700+, 1gb DDR400, ATI x1300pro 256mb, 250gb SATA hdd.

    Read the readme, you have to patch before you install then reapply whilst holding an apple on your head.

    I cant recall exactly but its in the readme what you have to do.

    IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING EXPANSION PACK AND MULTIPLAYER
    When Battlefield 2: Special Forces is installed, a new update is applied. However,
    with this new content it is not possible to play on the Internet or LAN with
    Battlefield 2 1.03 users.

    To be able to play together with Battlefield 2 core users, you need to have
    update 1.1 or later.

    - In order to play Special Forces in multiplayer on the internet you will need
    to download the latest patch from EA.

    After repatching (again) the multiplayer probs have sorted themselves out.
