Elliptical Marquee Tool ? (usebar)

How the hell do I do the "Elliptical Marquee Tool, create an oval effect, from top left corner to top right corner, fill it and then change the oppacity" bit ?

I trying to make it fade, can someone do a step by step on that bit plz

I've done the rest of it myself.

I presume its Photoshop we're talking about. Draw your eclipse on a new layer. Fill it with white. Then on your layers palette adjust the opacity slider down to were you want.

EDIT: make sure the layer with the eclipse is above the layer you want the effect on

You need to fill the area inside the marquee with white. Then turn down the opacity til you get the desired effect

I tried that but it will not fill with any colour via Edit >> Fill or Blending Options >> Colour Overlay...

Use the paint bucket tool. Its on the left and looks llike a paint bucket:D With this click inside the marquee area. make sure white is your colour.

TIP: apply bevel/emboss on the layer with the marquee to improve the effect

Very Good!! I'd move the layer up a notch though, the highlight comes down a little far IMO. But nice job.
