I'm trying to draw a type of flow chart using autoshapes. How can I insert text without using a "textbox". i.e. I want to insert text without a dirty big rectangle surrounding it.

right click
select format autoshapes
colors and lines tab
select no lines from drop down menu

If I understood u correctly
