    Hi,

    First off, not sure if this is the place for this question, if not, I apologise.

    As part of a college project we have to design a personal commuter vehicle, but design it for the future using revolutinary technology, or technology that may be used in coming years.

    So, any one have any ideas of new and exciting propultion methods like hydrogen engines or something off the wall like household waste power engines ;) . Anything thats new, off the wall, unheard of or just plain silly will be of help to me.

    Spent some time (after watching Contact -dreadful adaption of the book), wondering about how centrifugal force could be applied to motion (off balanced centrifugal force pushing/pulling the vehicle in one direction) but that was in relation to space travel.

    Magnets? I remember reading something baout magnets once, I think it was some sort of gyroscopic device.
