i have an old model car (1/10th scale nitro rally car thingy, no fancy fuel injection or anything) sitting there for nearly 2 years idle. i have fuel and a glow-plug yoke (i can't remember any of the names, as i'm sure you can tell).

anyway, will it work if i pull it out and start 'er up? is there anything i should do before getting it going (like clear the spiders out of the engine)?

    thanks

    Well if it was me,
I would first off clean it up.
Charge up or use fresh batteries for receiver/transmitter
    Remove the Gloplug and airfilter.
give a quick burst of WD40 down the plughole and into the air intake of the carb.
Spin it over a few times.
Put a new glo plug in.
    Oil the air filter.
Put some nitro in the tank and make sure it is getting into the cylinder
Check that your control is operating the servos correctly.. Give it a go and hope for the best..
    Now after all that..
That is what I would do..
But no doubt the Nitro Guru { AKA Coolwings :D } will be along and have a better suggestion..

What else would you do, but fire it up, and let it rip!

Its great you should give me the title so easy :) ...and I'd like to say thanks very much and all....and I'd like to make a little speech, like, and .....(runs out of things to say and fades to silence.... :o )

But Vectra you deserve it more than me to be "Resident Boards Nitro Guru".
I've only got one nitro engine model of my own right now and all the rest are leccies - You're got me beaten on number of model so you're welcome to wear that crown anytime you want :D:D:D
