Wolfenstein Problem

Hallo,

I've accidently knocked the screen size from normal to really high, and the game will no longer run. I can run Multiplayer no problem, but when i open up Single Player I recieve the follow error:

User has solved problem, User feels somewhat embarresed and foolish as User was starring solution in the face. User fixed problem via intializing RTCW in Safe Mode.

While we are talking bout this game,any one know the best way to get an online game with a modem.The lag is s**te,I keep getting this "connection interrupted"message even though my frame rates are between 60-70(limited) and every other game I play online suffers from little or no lag ie UT,AVP2 etc.
Usually on the server screen my ping is fairly low 137-200.
Which as far as I can see is better than my ping in AVP2 etc.
Help as always is appreciated.

It's unplayable over 56k. Simple as that. I think MoH is the same, at least it was for the multiplayer test.

Richie18 when ur online look at the server info for the server and look for setting max_ping if it is below ur ping u can load up but it won't join. Also do you have the latest updates?

I disagree RTCW can be crappy pings with 56k but there are some good servers where you can avg 200-300 ping which is playable.
And MOH too.
Having never been below 200 ping on any game server ever.
I am used to 200+ ping .

I have all the latest updates but it only seems that its choppy on servers with 12+ players.Sometime I get ping as low as 180 but i still get this connection interrupted thing.Was just wondering what this connection interrupted message means.

Happens after a while when game is not actually users own property..

RTCW has been eclipsed by MoH...soon to be beaten by Unreal 2..simple as that.
