Glenstal monk reads Tarot cards

There is an interesting article in last Sunday's Times about a programme in the Would You Believe series which is going out next Sunday.

Br. Mark Hederman uses tarot cards to help people solve their problems.
But another priest says that divination is frowned upon by the church.
And yet another says that dealing in the occult is "gravely contrary to the virtue of religion". Fr. Vincent Twomey says that according to paragraph 2111 of the catechism of the Catholic church says that "there is a false curiosity about the future and this is a sin against providence".

This programme should be a good laugh for the sceptics to see the believers fighting amongst each other.

By the way, I don't remember 2111 paragraphs in the penny catechism. We had real sins like gluttony, adultery and being a Protestant. Have they rewritten it recently? What is a "sin against providence"? Is it the same as tempting fate?
