Are eircom, UTV or any of the others any better on this score?

No eircom and utv are the same. Smart have 256 and ntl have 300 max.

It's down to the fact €ircon are a monopoly and aren't allowing LLU to progress so ISPs are forced to resell eircon's crapy service with just 128 up.

The business version has 256k up but it's about 30 quid more expensive per month..

I got 256k up with Digiweb and it aint all that much better
still a pain in the ass.

I love it when an upload speed topic comes out, all the anger of people with crappy uploads just pours out eveytime!
